Resumo:

Objetivos: Realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura científica sobre os erros de prescrições médicas observados em drogarias, além de identificar os erros mais frequentes e descrever a importância do farmacêutico na detecção e manejo dos erros de prescrição

Métodos: A metodologia utilizada consistiu de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, utilizando as bases de dados LiLacs: (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature) e SciELo (Scientific Electronic Library Online). A cronologia dos estudos incluídos baseou-se nos artigos publicados nos últimos 5 anos, ou seja, entre os anos de 2015 e 2020.

Resultados: Nos resultados, obteve-se dados coletados e submetidos a uma leitura minuciosa para seleção e depois foi realizada uma síntese das pesquisas escolhidas, que estão apresentadas em um quadro para melhor visualização e entendimento. Verificou-se na discussão que a prescrição é a ordem médica dirigida ao farmacêutico para o cumprimento da terapia medicamentosa do paciente. A falta de informação na prescrição pode interferir na comunicação entre os profissionais, prejudicando-a e induzindo a erros de medicação ao paciente. Prescrições incompletas impedem a eficiência do trabalho de dispensação dos medicamentos, pondo em risco a qualidade da assistência farmacêutica ao paciente.

Conclusão: Concluiu-se que são muitos os erros de prescrições encontrados em drogarias e é importante adotar algumas medidas como uso prescrições eletrônicas, padronização de atividades, como evitar abreviações, prescrever os medicamentos por nomes genéricos, no caso de prescrições manuscritas, uso de letras claras e legíveis e ainda a educação continuada dos profissionais que prescrevem, conscientizando-os da importância da prescrição correta.

Abstract:

Objectives: To carry out an integrative review of the scientific literature on the errors of medical prescriptions observed in drugstores, in addition to identifying the most frequent errors and describing the importance of the pharmacist in the detection and management of prescription errors.

Methods: The methodology used consisted of an integrative literature review, using the LiLacs: (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature) and SciELo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) databases. The chronology of the included studies was based on the articles published in the last 5 years, that is, between the years 2015 and 2020

Results: In the results, data were collected and subjected to a thorough reading for selection and then a synthesis of the chosen researches, which are presented in a table for better visualization and understanding. It was found in the discussion that the prescription is the medical order addressed to the pharmacist for compliance with the patient's drug therapy. The lack of information in the prescription can interfere in the communication between professionals, harming it and inducing medication errors to the patient. Incomplete prescriptions hinder the efficiency of medication dispensing work, putting the quality of pharmaceutical care to patients at risk

Conclusion: It was concluded that there are many prescription errors found in drugstores and it is important to adopt some measures such as using electronic prescriptions, standardizing activities, how to avoid abbreviations, prescribing medicines by generic names, in the case of handwritten prescriptions, use of letters clear and legible and also the continuing education of the professionals who prescribe, making them aware of the importance of the correct prescription
