Objetivo:
Dessa maneira, o objetivo desse trabalho é
analisar o papel do profissional farmacêutico no combate e tratamento do
tabagismo. Metodologia: Para isso, foi realizada uma revisão de
literatura descritiva e exploratória, desenvolvida através da leitura e
interpretação de conteúdos encontrados em materiais construídos por outros
autores. Resultados: Através da leitura e análise dos artigos
encontrados, foi possível afirmar que atenção farmacêutica no tratamento do
tabagismo é relevante para o sucesso da terapêutica, pois impede ocorrência de
reações adversas, monitora o tratamento e estabelece uma relação próxima entre
farmacêutico e paciente. Considerações Finais: Esse acompanhamento
possibilita adequada orientação e conscientização sobre os benefícios da adesão
do paciente à terapêutica medicamentosa estabelecida para o tratamento.
Objective: Thus, the objective of this work is to analyze the role of the
pharmaceutical professional in the fight and treatment of smoking. Methodology:
For this, a descriptive and exploratory literature review was carried out,
developed through the reading and interpretation of contents found in materials
constructed by other authors. Results: By reading and analyzing the
articles found, it was possible to state that pharmaceutical care in the
treatment of smoking is relevant to the success of the therapy, as it prevents
the occurrence of adverse reactions, monitors the treatment and establishes a
close relationship between pharmacist and patient. Final Considerations:
This monitoring provides adequate guidance and awareness about the benefits of
patient adherence to the drug therapy established for the treatment.
