VIRTUAL REALITY IN MOTOR REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS WITH CEREBRAL PALSY

Objetivo:
avaliar melhoras significativas no desenvolvimento motor de pacientes com
Paralisia Cerebral (PC) submetidos a reabilitação por meio da realidade virtual
(RV). Metodologia: Trata-se de uma
revisão bibliográfica integrativa, com uma abordagem quanti-qualitativa. Para
obtenção de dados foram utilizadas as seguintes bases de dados SCIELO; LILACS;
MEDLINE via BIREME; PUBMED via NCBI. Os estudos foram selecionados após leitura
e aplicação dos seguintes critérios de inclusão: somente artigos, livros,
monografias e dissertações em língua portuguesa brasileira, inglesa americana e
espanhola, que tratam da reabilitação de pacientes com PC por meio da RV,
dentro do período estabelecido entre 2015 a 2020 e pertencentes às bases de
dados já citadas. Resultados: foram
encontrados 7 artigos nas bases, que demonstraram benefícios importantes na
abordagem da RV em pacientes com paralisia cerebral. Conclusão: A reabilitação por meio da Realidade Virtual contribui
significativamente para o desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor de pessoas com PC.
Contudo, sugerem-se mais estudos com amostras representativas, a fim de reduzir
viés quanto aos benefícios efetivamente conquistados pelo uso dessa modalidade terapêutica.
Objective:To evaluate significant improvements in the motor development of
patients with Cerebral Palsy (CP) undergoing rehabilitation through virtual
reality (VR). Methodology: This work
is an integrative literature review, with a quantitative-qualitative approach.
To obtain data, the following SCIELO databases were used; LILACS; MEDLINE via
BIREME; PUBMED via NCBI. The studies were selected after reading and applying
the following inclusion criteria: only articles, books, monographs and
dissertations in Brazilian Portuguese, American English and Spanish, dealing
with the rehabilitation of patients with CP through VR, within the period
established between 2015 to 2020 and belonging to the aforementioned databases.
Results: 7 articles were found in
the databases, which showed important benefits in the approach of VR in
patients with cerebral palsy. Conclusion: Rehabilitation through
Virtual Reality significantly contributes to the neuropsychomotor development
of people with CP. However, further studies with representative samples are
suggested, in order to reduce bias regarding the benefits effectively achieved
by the use of this therapeutic modality.
