EPIDEMIOLOGICAL PROFILE OF VIRAL HEPATITIS OF TYPE B AND C IN PIAUI

Introdução: A hepatite é um tipo de doença de notificação compulsória que desafia a saúde pública mundial, sendo responsável por aproximadamente 1,4 milhão de óbitos por ano, segundo dados informados pela Organização Mundial da Saúde – OMS, em virtude das complicações desenvolvidas em suas formas crônicas e agudas graves.
Objetivos: Traçar um perfil epidemiológico dos casos de hepatites virais B e C, no que se refere a faixa etária, sexo, raça, escolaridade e complicações de hepatite B e C, notificados no Estado do Piauí entre os anos de 2014a 2018. Para tanto, foi utilizada a pesquisa documental qualitativa, embasada no acompanhamento de dados pelo sistema do DATASUS e inseridos no programa SINAN.
Resultados: Os resultados obtidos foram trazidos para análise por meio de gráficos e tabelas, reunidos e compilados até o ano de 2018, em virtude da complexidade de fatores de análise envolvendo o ano de 2019 e a ocorrência da pandemia do Corona Vírus.
Conclusão: A partir da observação de resultados como o aumento do acometimento de Hepatite tipo B na faixa etária 20-39 anos e, maior frequência entre homens da cor parda residentes na capital do Estado – Teresina – foi possível inferir que os homens jovens são o principal público acometido pelas hepatites virais, considerando o maior contato com múltiplos parceiros sexuais sem proteção.
Introduction: Hepatitis is a type of compulsory notification disease that challenges public health worldwide, being responsible for approximately 1.4 million deaths per year, according to data reported by the World Health Organization - WHO, due to the complications developed in its chronic forms and bass treble.
Objectives: The study developed in this article aims to trace an epidemiological profile of cases of viral hepatitis B and C, with regard to age, gender, race, education and complications of hepatitis B and C, reported in the State of Piauí between the years from 2014 to 2018.
Results: For this purpose, qualitative documentary research was used, based on data monitoring by the DATASUS system and inserted in the SINAN program. The results obtained were brought for analysis through graphs and tables, gathered and compiled until the year 2018, due to the complexity of analysis factors involving the year 2019 and the occurrence of the Corona Virus pandemic.
Conclusion: In conclusion, from the observation of results such as the increase in the involvement of Hepatitis type B in the age group 20-39 years and a higher frequency among brown men living in the state capital – Teresina – it was possible to infer that young men are the main public affected by viral hepatitis, considering the greater contact with multiple sexual partners without protection.
