Resumo:

Objetivo:  Realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura acerca da importância da educação permanente para os profissionais de enfermagem que atuam nas unidades de urgência e emergência.

Metodologia: Trata-se de uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura. A estratégia de busca eletrônica se deu nas seguintes bases de dados: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Base de dados em enfermagem (BDENF) e Scientific Eletrônic Library Online (Scielo).

Resultados. A pesquisa revelou que a Educação Permanente para os profissionais de enfermagem que atuam nas unidades de Urgência e Emergência, é vital para o desenvolvimento de uma assistência de excelência, norteada pela realidade vivenciada e em tempo oportuno, que embora esta seja uma realidade dentro destas unidades, ainda existe deficiência tanto no que tange o manejo das atividades e seu real significado, quanto na adesão, contudo, quando são bem desenvolvidas,  logram resultados positivos  

Considerações Finais: A Educação Permanente nas unidades de Urgência e Emergência é bastante discutida, tanto no processo de trabalho como por pesquisadores. Sua relevância é notória, porém ainda se percebe resistência, por parte de profissionais e gestores dos serviços.

Abstract:

Objective: To carry out an integrative review of the literature on the importance of continuing education for nursing professionals who work in urgency and emergency units.

Methodology: This is an Integrative Literature Review. The electronic search strategy was carried out in the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo).

Results. The research revealed that Permanent Education for nursing professionals who work in Urgent and Emergency units is vital for the development of excellent care, guided by the reality experienced and in a timely manner, which although this is a reality within these units , there is still a deficiency both in terms of the management of activities and their real meaning, as well as in adherence, however, when they are well developed, they achieve positive results Final

Considerations: Continuing Education in Urgent and Emergency units is widely discussed, both in the process of work and by researchers. Its relevance is notorious, but resistance is still perceived on the part of professionals and service managers.
