RESUMO: Objetivo: O estudo objetiva avalisar as evidências
disponíveis na literatura acerca das formas de das atividades ou recursos novos do
enfermeiro para o controle de infecção hospitalar em pacientes adultos na
Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Metodologia:
Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura do tipo descritiva com
abordagem qualitativa nas bases de dados online: PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual em
Saúde (BVS) Scopus, Web of Science e
EMBASE durante o período de abril a maio de 2023. Resultados: A maioria dos estudos incluídos
foram publicados no ano de 2020, correspondendo a 33%, seguido do ano de 2022 e
2023, ambos com 22% cada. Os estudos versam, principalmente, quanto a
necessidade constante de treinamentos contínuos com os profissionais de saúde
enfatizando as novas atualizações e diretrizes dos instrumentos adotados
visando colaborar com a assistência em saúde.
Identificou-se a redução significativamente entre as taxas iniciais e
finais de infecções relacionadas a assistência em saúde (IRAS) com a adoção de
estratégias, pois a UTI torna-se um ambiente propício para a disseminação de
microrganismos patógenos, caso a equipe não mantenha os alguns cuidados
essenciais. Conclusão: Os achados demonstram resultados satisfatórios da
implementação de bundles e check-lists como ferramentas
imprescindíveis para a redução das IRAS. Nesse sentido, a equipe de enfermagem
é protagonista na adoção de instrumentos que possibilitam a continuidade do
cuidado e visam a integralidade do indivíduo. Portanto, considerando o exposto,
os riscos de procedimentos invasivos realizados rotineiramente na UTI serão
gradativamente reduzidos.
ABSTRACT: Objective:
The study aims to evaluate the evidence available in the literature about the
forms of activities or new resources of the nurse for the control of nosocomial
infection in adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: This is an
integrative literature review of the descriptive type with a qualitative
approach in online databases: PubMed, Virtual Health Library (VHL) Scopus, Web
of Science and EMBASE during the period from April to May 2023. Results : Most
of the included studies were published in the year 2020, corresponding to 33%,
followed by the year 2022 and 2023, both with 22% each. The studies mainly deal
with the constant need for continuous training with health professionals,
emphasizing the new updates and guidelines of the instruments adopted in order
to collaborate with health care. A significant reduction was identified between
the initial and final rates of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) with the
adoption of strategies, as the ICU becomes a propitious environment for the
dissemination of pathogenic microorganisms, if the team does not maintain the
some essential precautions. Conclusion: The findings demonstrate satisfactory
results from the implementation of bundles and checklists as essential tools
for reducing HAIs. In this sense, the nursing team is a protagonist in the
adoption of instruments that enable the continuity of care and aim at the
integrality of the individual. Therefore, considering the above, the risks of
invasive procedures routinely performed in the ICU will be gradually reduced.
