Resumo:

Objetivo: O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar o perfil de consumo de medicamentos por idosos atendidos em unidade básica de saúde – UBS. Metodologia: Este trabalho tratou-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, que foi realizada por meio de um levantamento de literatura onde foram utilizadas fontes secundárias referentes à temática em questão, a fim de responder à seguinte problemática: Qual o consumo de medicamentos por idosos em Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS). Resultados: Nesta revisão integrativa foram incluídos 07 artigos. Nas bases de dados foram encontrados 378 artigos, destes, 83 foram na BIREME, SCIELO 11, 295 no SCIENCE DIRECT. Excluiu-se 373 por não atenderem os critérios propostos: artigos completos referentes à pesquisa (avaliar o consumo de medicamentos por idosos), idioma (português e inglês), tempo do artigo (artigos publicados nos últimos 05 anos, 2015 a 2020), tipo de estudo (artigos), base de dados (SCIELO, BIREME e SCIENCE DIRECT) e artigos duplicados. Considerações Finais: Portanto, o uso concomitante de várias especialidades farmacêuticas e de diferentes terapias nem sempre foram associados à recomendação e ao acompanhamento clínico, mas podem sugerir o aumento de problemas pela farmacoterapia utilizada (reações adversas, interações, utilização errada, tratamento inadequado) quando ainda ocorrem os agravos na saúde do idoso pelos processos patológicos ou pelas mudanças fisiológicas próprias da idade.

Abstract:

Objective: The present study aimed to analyze the profile of medication consumption by elderly people treated at a basic health unit - UBS. Methodology: This work was a bibliographic research, which was carried out by means of a literature survey where secondary sources referring to the theme in question were used, in order to answer the following problem: What is the medication consumption by the elderly in the Unit Basic Health Unit (UBS). Results: In this integrative review, 07 articles were included. In the databases, 378 articles were found, of these, 83 were in BIREME, SCIELO 11, 295 in SCIENCE DIRECT. 373 were excluded because they did not meet the proposed criteria: full articles related to the research (assessing medication consumption by the elderly), language (Portuguese and English), time of the article (articles published in the last 05 years, 2015 to 2020), type of study (articles), database (SCIELO, BIREME and SCIENCE DIRECT) and duplicate articles. Final Considerations: Therefore, the concomitant use of various pharmaceutical specialties and different therapies has not always been associated with recommendation and clinical follow-up, but may suggest an increase in problems due to the pharmacotherapy used (adverse reactions, interactions, misuse, inappropriate treatment) when the health problems of the elderly still occur due to pathological processes or physiological changes typical of age.
