NURSE MANAGERS AND THEIR CHALLENGES IN BASIC HEALTH UNITS

Objetivo: identificar na literatura os principais desafios enfrentados pelos
enfermeiros gestores nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde. Metodologia: trata-se
de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, construída a partir da busca de
artigos nas bases de dados BVS e PUBMED, com abordagem qualitativa dos dados.
Foram selecionados estudos publicados nos últimos 5 anos, ou seja, de 2018 a
2023. A pesquisa foi estruturada a partir da sistematização da estratégia de
busca PICo, em que P: Enfermeiros/Enfermeiro Gestor, I: Desafios/Obstáculos e
Co: Atenção Primária à Saúde/APS. Resultados: Dos 11 estudos
selecionados, identificou-se inúmeros desafios enfrentados pelos enfermeiros
gestores nas UBSs, ressalta-se a escassez de recursos humanos, materiais e
equipamentos, falta de investimento pelo setor público, excesso de trabalho
administrativo e gerencial e possível falta de experiência profissional para a
atuação na área. Conclusão: Portanto, acredita-se que é de suma importância que além do
aumento do investimento no serviço de saúde, haja o investimento em
treinamentos e capacitações dos profissionais.
Objective:
to
identify in the literature the main challenges faced by nurse managers in Basic
Health Units. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review,
built from the search for articles in the VHL and PUBMED databases, with a
qualitative approach to the data. Studies published in the last 5 years, that
is, from 2018 to 2023, were selected. The research was structured based on the
systematization of the PICo search strategy, in which P: Nurses/Nurse Manager,
I: Challenges/Obstacles and Co: Primary Health Care/ PHC. Results: Of
the 11 studies selected, numerous challenges faced by nurse managers in UBSs
were identified, emphasizing the scarcity of human resources, materials and
equipment, lack of investment by the public sector, excessive administrative
and managerial work and possible lack of professional experience to work in the
area. Conclusion: Therefore, it is believed that it is of paramount
importance that in addition to increasing investment in the health service,
there is investment in training and qualification of professionals.
